1959 Omega Constellation “Pie Pan” – Ref. 14381 – Chronometer
Price: £1,995
A standout example of one of Omega’s most important and collectible vintage models — the Omega Constellation Pie Pan, dating to 1959 and housed in the sharp, classic 34mm stainless steel case.
This is reference 14381, fitted with the correct Omega automatic chronometer movement, and featuring an exceptionally clean, all-original Pie Pan dial. These dials are the heart of the Constellation story — and this one is about as crisp as you’ll find without paying significantly more.
Supplied fully serviced and complete with an Omega presentation box.
The Pie Pan dial is what defines early Constellations. The stepped edge, applied indices, and star at 6 o’clock are unmistakable. This example is remarkably clean, with excellent clarity and original finish — increasingly hard to find in this condition.
This is not just an automatic Omega — it’s a chronometer-rated movement, built and tested to higher standards of accuracy. These movements were Omega’s flagship technology of the era.
Durable, versatile, and timeless. Unlike gold-plated examples, steel Constellations are easier to live with and remain highly desirable among collectors.
Strong case lines, correct crown, correct caseback medallion — all the small details that separate a good watch from a great one.
Fully checked and serviced, meaning it’s ready to wear straight away. No immediate costs, no unknowns.
Early Omega Constellations are firmly established as blue-chip vintage watches.
Key points buyers understand:
At £1,995, this sits in a sensible, historically proven part of the market. With minimal maintenance (typically a service every 5–10 years), ownership costs are low, and downside risk is limited.
This is the sort of watch collectors buy, wear, enjoy — and quietly keep for the long term.
Your money is not being gambled here. It’s being parked in something tangible, mechanical, and increasingly difficult to replace.
A true 1959 Constellation, beautifully preserved, mechanically sound, and priced realistically.
