A beautifully presented example of the classic Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date reference 1500, dating to 1972. This is the timeless 34mm stainless steel case with smooth bezel — the cleanest, most versatile configuration Rolex ever made.

This watch has been professionally cleaned and fully overhauled, which is why the overall condition is genuinely exceptional for its age. The dial is crisp, the case is sharp, and the watch presents as close to “as-new vintage” as you’re realistically going to find on a 53-year-old Rolex.

The Jubilee bracelet is particularly noteworthy — tight, non-stretchy, and in outstanding condition, which is rare on early 1970s bracelets. Most examples from this era show heavy wear. This one doesn’t.

Powered by the legendary Rolex Calibre 1575 automatic movement, officially chronometer certified — one of Rolex’s most respected and durable movements ever produced.

The watch is supplied with a recent insurance valuation (approx. 10 weeks old) which will be passed on to the new owner. The valuation includes the serial number and model reference for peace of mind and future insurance purposes.

Modelled on a 17.5cm wrist for reference. This timeless classic 1972 Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date is ready to be worn and enjoyed by another generation !
