Omega Seamaster 1952 Calendar – 34mm Stainless Steel – Waffle Dial – Cal. 344 Bumper Automatic
A beautiful example of an early 1950s Omega Seamaster Calendar, dating to circa 1952. This is a proper vintage Omega from the golden era of Swiss watchmaking, featuring the desirable “Seamaster Calendar” dial (spelled with an “A” as used in period-correct English) and the classic textured waffle-style dial finish.
Housed in a 34mm stainless steel case, this watch wears perfectly on small to medium wrists and has the timeless proportions collectors look for in early Omega Seamasters. The case lines remain strong, and the watch presents honestly with light age-related wear consistent with a 70+ year-old timepiece.
Inside is Omega’s early automatic bumper movement, calibre 344 – a historically important movement that helped define Omega’s automatic lineage. These bumper automatics have real charm and are increasingly sought after by collectors who appreciate early mechanical engineering.
The watch is currently paired with a green Everest-style leather strap, which suits the textured dial nicely, but we’re happy to swap this for a black leather strap if preferred.
A superb everyday vintage Omega with genuine collector appeal – wearable, usable, and increasingly hard to find in original, honest condition.

Why this is a good investment
Early Omega Seamasters from the 1950s are increasingly desirable, particularly those with original textured dials and period-correct movements like the calibre 344 bumper automatic. As collectors move away from modern mass-produced watches, honest vintage pieces with character and history continue to strengthen in value. This is the type of watch that is becoming harder to replace at sensible money.
