Omega Seamaster De Ville – Black Dial – 1965 – Hand-Wound Cal. 601 – 34mm
Here we have a beautifully presented vintage Omega Seamaster De Ville from circa 1965, offered in outstanding condition and recently refurbished to a very high standard.
This example features a crisp black dial with applied Omega logo and slim baton hour markers. The watch is powered by the reliable and historically respected Omega Calibre 601– a fully in-house, hand-wound movement known for its robustness and longevity when properly maintained.
The 34mm stainless steel case wears larger than the dimensions suggest thanks to the slim bezel and well-balanced lug profile. On-wrist, it has good presence.
Modelled on a 17.5cm wrist for reference.
This watch comes presented with an Omega box and has been paired with a new black leather strap (aftermarket strap and buckle). No original papers, which is entirely typical for pieces of this age.
Vintage Omega remains one of the safest entry points into collectible Swiss watches. The Seamaster 30 sits in a sweet spot:
At £1,250, this represents a strong value position for a 1960s Omega in this level of condition. These aren’t getting easier to find, and the best examples always move first. Buy once, buy right.
💷 Price: £1,250 – very competitive for age, condition, and quality of refurbishment
