A true modern classic from Rolex, this stunning Rolex Explorer II “Polar” features the highly sought-after white dial configuration paired with the iconic 40mm stainless steel case and Oyster bracelet.

The 16570 has become one of the most collectible modern Rolex sports models in recent years, offering a cleaner, more understated alternative to the GMT-Master whilst still featuring the practical GMT complication and independent 24-hour hand. The crisp white “Polar” dial gives the watch a completely different character depending on lighting conditions and is one of the reasons collectors continue to chase these references so heavily today.

This particular example dates back to 2002 via its Y serial number and comes complete with its original Rolex box, recent Rolex service card, original sales receipt from a reputable dealer showing a previous retail price just shy of £7,000, alongside spare bracelet links. A very honest and attractive example overall.

At the time of photography, the watch is modelled on a 17.5cm wrist and currently has a very comfortable fit. With the supplied spare links and clasp adjustment, the bracelet can comfortably accommodate wrists up to approximately 21cm, making it suitable for both smaller and larger wrists alike.

A fantastic opportunity to acquire one of the last “tool watch era” Rolex Explorer II models before the modern oversized references arrived.
