A rare and highly collectible vintage Omega Constellation, featuring the celebrated “Pie Pan” dial, an 18-carat rose-gold bezel and a solid 18-carat gold Constellation observatory medallion set into the stainless-steel case back.
The Pie Pan acquired its nickname from the dial’s distinctive faceted outer edge, which resembles an inverted pie dish. This sharply defined design gives the dial greater depth and has become one of the most recognisable features of early Omega Constellations. These watches represented the top tier of Omega’s precision timepieces, combining elegant design with officially certified chronometer movements.
This example is powered by Omega’s highly regarded calibre 561: a Swiss automatic chronometer movement with a date display at 3 o’clock. The white dial is complemented beautifully by rose-gold hour markers, hands and case details.
The stainless-steel case measures approximately 35mm excluding the crown—a traditional vintage size that remains elegant and extremely wearable. The watch is fitted to a used black Hirsch leather strap with an 18mm lug width. The strap remains in good condition with plenty of life left.
Presented in brilliant overall condition and supplied with an Omega presentation box, this is an excellent opportunity to acquire one of the most desirable configurations from the golden age of the Constellation collection.
As with any vintage dress watch, water resistance cannot be guaranteed. We strongly recommend keeping the watch away from water and moisture.
