🟡 Omega Constellation “Pie Pan” – 1952 – Calibre 354 Bumper Automatic – 34mm

£1,495 | Early Pie Pan | 18ct Gold Observatory Medallion | Omega Box

This is a very early example of the Omega Constellation “Pie Pan” – dating to 1952 and powered by the original bumper automatic Calibre 354. Early Pie Pans like this are increasingly hard to find, particularly with the lug-hole case that marks out the earliest production runs.

The dial has aged beautifully into a warm creamy/yellow patina, with original gold indices and correct Constellation script. The case remains sharp and unpolished, and the caseback features the iconic solid 18ct gold Observatory medallion from Geneva – a hallmark of Omega’s chronometer heritage.

It’s been paired with a new brown leather strap and comes with an Omega presentation box, making this a very honest, wearable collector’s piece rather than a safe queen.

📈 Why This One Matters

  • Early Pie Pan – these early 1950s examples are far scarcer than later Constellations.
  • Calibre 354 bumper automatic – proper early Omega engineering.
  • Lug-hole case – a detail collectors actively look for on early references.
  • Original dial with natural patina – untouched and full of character.
  • Chronometer heritage – the gold observatory medallion tells the story.

At £1,495, this sits in a very sensible place for a genuine early Pie Pan Constellation with strong originality. Later examples cost similar money, but you don’t get this level of early detail, movement interest, or character.
